The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb
The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (www.msu.hr) was built respecting the tradition of Zagreb’s modernist architecture. Architect Igor Franić (www.igorfranic.hr) designed a building that extends in a north-south City direction next to the avenue connecting the 19th century City with the modernist part built in sixties. The partitioned geometrical volume of the three-storey museum building, characterized by a changing cross-section reminiscent of a meander, is meant to become a recognizable symbol of the city in the future.
A special ISEA2011 Istanbul video exhibition program titled Dislocations will take place on the 100 meter long screens that are part of the Media Facade of the museum.
