Prof. Dr. Andreas Fischlin
Andreas Fischlin, 1949, studied Biology and Systems Theory and did ecological research in Canada. Returned to Switzerland he taught systems ecology and computer science at ETH and University of Zurich. He played a leading role in the design and formation of the novel curriculum and department Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich. He was presented the Peace Nobel Prize 2007 as awarded to IPCC for his work as coordinating lead author in the Second and Fourth Assessment Report of IPCC. He also represents Swiss scientists in the Swiss delegation in United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations and has published numerous scientific works, notably on climate change impacts on ecosystems.
Andreas plays several instruments since a kid and almost bacame a musician. Today he plays e-cello and bass and sings background vocal in the band Not the Sensational Alex Harvey Band (NSAHB) and just returned from a short tourette in Scotland.
